IndiGO Party digipak

This is the 6 panel digipak design i have created for indiGO Party's album for my ancillary task. The band name design was an existing creation that the band had that they allowed me to feature in my work because it represents the band.

I used the colour scheme of the title as a starting point to design the rest of the Digipak.

I feel that the design is slightly too 'pop-py' because of the bright colours and jumping silhouettes and explosions, which is a bit misleading as thats not really the sound of the band. However, the pre-existing title design and the name of the band its self are both like a pop bands which didn't leave me with much else to work with.

Digipak Template

I found this template for a 6 panel CD digipak with the measurements. It contains the front part of the digipak and all the inside panels plus the shape in which the cd sits. I plan to use this to create the shape and design for my digipak 

Final Animatic

After showcasing my previous draft of my animatic, despite the fact it wasn't finished, the feedback was that the idea of creating an animatic with drawings on top of photos was clever however the concept of the video was missing something to tie together why there were loads of people at this gig in a back garden and how did they know about it.

I have now finished the animatic, and added in a few shots which will show a poster advertising the gig and members of the public seeing the band running to the gig.

Also, towards the end i have repeated pictures i have used before, this is because i will be using the same camera angle and showing the same guitarists etc, but obviously at a different point in the song. Therefore i felt it was unnecessary to go through the hassle of creating another image of the same thing.

Also, the first shot of the fence will have a poster on it, and a few other blank shots will show people seeing the band running past.

Rolling stone

Rolling Stone is a U.S. based magazine devoted to music, politics, and popular culture that is published every two weeks.
This edition features Muse as the focused article of the magazin, the cover of the magazine presens the band in a sinister pose looking directly out of the page, with the name of the band in big bold letters at the side. This edition of Rolling Stone magazine is a Festvial special, and muse are highly regarded as being a must see live act and one of the best.
When i create my magazine cover i will use a photo of the band as the focus of the page, similar to this, and will have to create other articles to fill the page. Plus the title of the magazine.

The other part of the coursework is the promotional parts, the bands digipack/album cover, and the magazine cover with the band being the main article, alongside the bands picture.

This is similar to what i will be creating to go along with the music video, i plan to have photos of the band on each face of this digipack.

Front page spread on the tv, film and music magazine, advertising oasis and their new single. Magazines doing this promotes the band and their music.
